Welcome to another episode of Mostly Superheroes the podcast. In this snack sized episode, The Giggler, Scotty Scoop and Logan are reviewing and discussing the first three issues of the ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN (2024) series and explaining the overall “Ultimate Universe”. Here are the spoiler free synopses from Marvel:
Issue #1, published on January 10, 2024, this comic is a bold new take on Spider-Man by visionary writer Jonathan Hickman and acclaimed artist Marco Checchetto. After the events of ULTIMATE INVASION, the world needs a hero, and who better than our friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. This issue promises to entangle you in a web of mystery and excitement as it redefines the wall-crawler for the 21st Century.
Issue #2, published on February 21, 2024, Spider-Man faces his first super villain. J. Jonah Jameson's quest to uncover the truth about the new Ultimate Universe leads to a shocking revelation. This issue introduces us to New York City's newest hero, the Green Goblin.
Issue #3, published on March 27, 2024, Peter Parker's life gets even more complicated. Spider-Man and the Green Goblin team up to fight a new super villain. Secrets about the corporations running North America are revealed, and you'll never guess who discovers Spider-Man's secret identity!
These comics offer solid artwork, witty scripts, and familiar variants of the beloved Spider-Man characters. They are a perfect distillation of what made Spidey Marvel's flagship character and a new take on the original legend.

This podcast episode of Mostly Superheroes is a resource to provide a guideline for watching / reading Star Wars titles in the timeline order according to Star Wars canon. The term ‘Star Wars canon’ refers to the collection of Star Wars media considered officially canon by Lucasfilm.
We quickly reveal all canonical titles in this podcast episode and explain where those titles fall in the greater Star Wars story being told from the beginning of time to the very end.
We will focus on the TV and Film as it is what we all experience most, but we will still highlight some book, video games, and reveal the overall Star Wars timeline.

Title: Fallout (American TV series)
Premise: Set in an alternate version of the United States, the series follows the aftermath of a nuclear exchange that occurred after World War II. The story takes place 200 years after the doomsday, where the descendants of those who sought refuge in luxury fallout shelters are forced to return to the irradiated wasteland.

Plot Summary: In the year 2296, a young woman named Lucy leaves her home in Vault 33 to venture into the dangerously unforgiving wasteland of a devastated Los Angeles. Her mission: to find her kidnapped father. Along the way, she encounters a Brotherhood of Steel squire and a ghoul bounty hunter, each with their own mysterious pasts and agendas.
Game Origins: The series is based on the iconic role-playing video game franchise created by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky. It draws inspiration from the Fallout games, which are set in a retrofuturistic universe where nuclear technology led to both societal collapse and bizarre mutations. Notably, the series continues game storylines and factions, such as the Brotherhood of Steel.
Amazon Prime Video: Amazon purchased the rights to produce this live-action adaptation in 2020, and the series was officially announced in July of the same year. Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy's Kilter Films collaborated with Bethesda Game Studios for production. Todd Howard, the producer behind various games in the Fallout series, also joined as an executive producer.
Critical Reception: The series received generally positive reviews, and it was renewed for a second season later in the same month.
